I've been thinking about revisiting Marcy and attempting to make it into something that works well as a point-of-sale system. I have some materials from awhile back to make a Marcy-embedded cash register, so I hope to make some prototype of that sometime this summer. I do want to make sure the software fully works first however, so I'll most likely redesign the client and server. Perhaps it might be a good idea to remove the dependence on Apache Tomcat altogether, and simply have it be a server listening on a port? It was already somewhat doing this, so it shouldn't be too hard to get that to work. Anyways, what do y'all think? Is taking Marcy off hiatus worth it?
